OmniChannel Logistics & Cold-Chain Dispatch

Operating distribution networks in East Africa requires engineering for infrastructure constraints. We designed and deployed a fault-tolerant fleet dispatch platform for regional logistics providers handling temperature-sensitive cargo across Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda.

The Challenge

Intermittent 3G/4G connectivity across transit corridors was causing data drops in temperature logs, delayed arrival confirmations, and manual phone coordination across 8 distribution depots.

The Solution

Rodvers architected an offline-first mobile dispatch application coupled with automated cellular IoT telemetry synchronisation. When drivers transit dead zones, records are queued in local SQLite with cryptographic checksums and seamlessly reconciled once signal returns.

The Commercial Outcome

The client achieved a 3.2x increase in daily dispatch capacity, reduced spoilage claims by 78%, and slashed automated invoice reconciliation time from 5 days to under 30 minutes.
